L.A. NIK'S TOP 5 :: FOOD FOR $5 OR LESS !

As an avid consumer and promoter of all things "Downtown" Minneapolis, I frequent every Happy Hour in the city in search of the best deals out there for dinner and drinks.  This is L.A. Nik's Top 5. This week - Places to get a meal at $5 or Less !

Take a look at these..

1. BANK at Westin is one of my favorite places to go.  The service is top notch and the room is the old Midland Bank.  You won't find a more interesting place to put a restaurant that keeps some of that MInneapolis history intact. Here's a shot of their happy hour menu..  Im telling you right now - Rock Shrimp is where its at for $5!

2. NAMI Minneapolis.  For sushi I think most people let the best places go un-noticed due to the larger scale, more well-known sushi houses in Minneapolis.  Take a look at Nami's happy hour menu - $5 full size rolls !!!  The drink specials are great to !  I just don't think you can beat it.

3. McCormick & Schmicks.  Man, you can NOT go wrong at this place.  If you want to eat a full size meal and have a cocktail for under $10 - Look no further.  I recommend the half pound cheeseburger - this ain't Mcdonalds and its a full size meal.  We're talking about a full half pound burger with a fries for $2.95.   Now that's ROCKIN' !
4. OCEANAIRE Hyatt Minneapolis.  Here's a place that I think is little unknown too.  Oceanaire is known by locals for its award winning seafood entrees and convention going travelers, but if you visit them from 5pm - 7pm Monday through Friday you are in for a treat.  Check out the menu below - they serve great signature drinks and the Fish & Chips are another full meal for the taking at dinner time for $5 only!  I wouldn't look past those Parmesan Truffle Fries right below it either..

5. ZELO Minneapolis.  Located right in the middle of Nicollet Mall, this place is also top of my list.  If you Eat, Play or Stay downtown you have to check out the interior design of Zelo.  The food of course is worth review and the happy hour menu meets my criteria.

Check out what you can find for $5 here...

So you've only got $5... No problem.  I'll find the biggest happy hour meals in town for the lowest price and give you my review.  Guaranteed satisfaction at high class establishments, cheaper than a Big Mac and Fries.

Tell em' L.A. Nik sent you.
